In this article I want to share with you ideas for autumn games with the youngest children - from 1.5 to 2 years old. They can be played separately or used as the basis for a real educational activity on the theme “Autumn”.

Since children aged 1.5 to 2 years can differ significantly from each other in their development, each game from the list below will need to be “adjusted” to your child’s level (complicated or simplified).

We draw games on asphalt and ground

Who among us has not at least once played hopscotch, corners, or tic-tac-toe on the street? Such games are passed down from generation to generation and have long become classics of the street games genre. Today, other games have appeared on the street.

Bowling

For it you will need 1.5-2 liter plastic bottles filled with water and a heavier ball, for example, a volleyball. Draw paths on the asphalt with chalk, at the end of which you place “pins” (bottles). Teach children how to roll the ball and knock down the pins correctly. Organize competitions with prizes.

Backgammon

Anyone familiar with this game knows that it requires chips of two colors - 30 pieces (15 pieces for each player), 2 cubes (dice) and a special field. Backgammon is very easy to play outdoors. The field is drawn on the ground or asphalt (in this case, multi-colored crayons will also work); instead of chips, chestnuts or pebbles are used, one part of which is painted white and the other black. The cubes are easy to make yourself or buy. This game develops the child's ability to count mentally, improves memory and teaches strategic and logical thinking.

Game "School"

Columns are drawn on the asphalt, which are divided into 11 cells - these are classes. You need to draw as many columns as there will be participants in the game. First, all players “enter” grade 1 and stand on the number 1. The “teacher” takes turns throwing the ball to the participants and asking a question. These questions could be:

  • as in the game “edible-inedible”;
  • knowledge of the multiplication table or examples of addition and subtraction;
  • on the spelling of words (the word is pronounced letter by letter).

In general, everything related to knowledge is used as questions, and if the “student” answers correctly (and the answer must be quick), then he moves to the cell (“grade”) above. The winner is the one who finishes “school” first.

Game "Cook"

Draw lines on the asphalt at a distance of approximately 0.5 m from each other. There should be four of them in total. The first line is for the “private soldiers”, the last line is for the “generals”. You step back 1.5 meters from the “general’s” line and set a pin, near which the driver, the “cook,” will stand.

All participants stand on the first line for the “ordinary” and take turns throwing sticks at the pin, trying to knock it down. When the pin is knocked down, all players - both the one who knocked down and the one who missed - run for the sticks. The “cook’s” task is to quickly put the pin in place and begin to catch the participants before they each take their own bat. Whoever he catches becomes “water”, and the “cook” himself becomes “private”. If it is not the one who knocked down the pin who is caught, then he is promoted in rank and moves to a line closer to the pin.

Victory goes to the “general” who knocked down the pin.

Game "Move slower..."

On the ground or asphalt, draw two lines (“start” and “finish”) at a distance of 50 meters from each other. The driver stands at the “finish”, the rest of the players at the “start”. Standing with his back to the participants, the “water” says: “You’re going slower, you’ll go further, stop” and turns around. During this time, players must move from the “start” to the “finish” as far as possible. But as soon as the word “stop” is pronounced, they must freeze. If the presenter notices that someone is moving, he takes him out of the game.

The winner is the one who gets to the finish line first and touches the driver with his hand. He will become the new water.

Game "Herbivores and Predators"

On the ground or asphalt, draw a circle with a diameter of 1-2 meters (depending on the number of participants). Using a counting rhyme, a naked “predator” is selected. His task is to catch and bring into his “lair” (circle) as many “herbivores” as possible. The task of the other players is to prevent themselves from being caught and to rescue their friends from captivity by touching their hand extended from the circle. What a “predator” should not allow.

The goal of the game is to catch all the “herbivores” or, conversely, release all the captives from the “lair”.

Hidden object games

Who doesn’t know about such a popular computer game among children? But you don’t have to sit at home to play it. There are a lot of options for this game. Let's look at some of them.

Search for "garbage"

A list is written in advance, according to which each participant will collect the items indicated there in a special bag or package. It can be:

  • candy wrapper;
  • glass;
  • pebble;
  • bus ticket;
  • juice box;
  • chip bag, etc.

In general, everything that usually lies under your feet. Be sure to give each player, in addition to the list, a pair of linen or rubber gloves and a bag. This game is very useful for children and will teach them not only attentiveness, but also respect for nature and love for their city or village.

Search for treasure on the map

Games of treasure hunters and pirates never get boring. Even adults like them. It’s not for nothing that in many cities they organize quests specifically to find treasure. Prepare a map of the area where the search will be conducted. It will be cool to look for treasure throughout the city or village, or in a large park. Then you can print a map directly from the Internet and mark the location of the “treasure” with a cross on it. Naturally, it needs to be buried in advance. This game will help your child get to know his hometown or village better and learn the history of its streets.

Quest

The hidden object quest will be a little more difficult to organize. After all, you will need to make not one bookmark with tips, but several. If you don’t have much imagination, then take some computer game on this topic as a basis and adapt it for the street. Take the most accessible items for collecting “information” and solving a “crime” or searching for “treasures”. Yes, even ordinary teaspoons, passing them off as an antique silver service from the Marquis de Carabas.

Hide and seek on the street in the evenings

You can search not only for objects, but also for people, so games of hide and seek have always been very popular among children.
If only there was somewhere to hide! Today the game “Hide and Seek in the Dark” has become popular. It is often played at home, but on the street it is much more interesting to search with a flashlight for everyone who is hiding in the yard or in the park. If children do not want to sleep after dark, then it’s time to take flashlights with you and go for a walk in the park or yard. Just agree in advance with the children so that they do not go further than the agreed territory. Everyone should have flashlights. You can “blink” them, giving signals, if you no longer have the patience to wait for someone to find you. After this, you are allowed to move around, changing location. "Shooting" balls

Shows with balloons are always fun, and shooting them with pine cones is even more fun. Hang the balls on a rope or fishing line stretched between two trees on threads of different lengths. Give the “shooters” a basket of cones each, and keep track of who hits the ball and how many times. The “Robin Hood” who hits the most times wins. It's easy to make the game more difficult, just blindfold the players and let them aim blindly.

Game "Unravel the threads"

The more players, the more fun the game. It's great to play when you're having someone's birthday party outdoors and you have the opportunity to involve a lot of children.

At the beginning of the game, “Matryona” or “mother” is selected (there are many options), who steps aside and turns away from the other players. All other participants join hands and form a circle, and then (without detaching from each other) begin to get confused:

  • climb over hands from above and crawl under;
  • wrapped in a spiral;
  • arms and legs intertwined.

After this, they say the words: “Matrona, untangle the threads!”, and the driver must restore the circle without breaking the chain of hands. If the thread breaks, then the game starts again.

Game of Wet Chicken

This is a type of game of blind man's buff. The game is played on the playground, where there are slides, ladders and horizontal bars. The driver - the “wet chicken” - is blindfolded and spun in one place, and then the players scatter and can even climb to different heights, but to a height of no higher than 1 meter. The goal of the “chicken” is to catch at least one player. She cannot climb up, but she can temporarily stop the movement of players with the words: “Stop Earth” or “Stop Moon,” and then for 5-7 seconds everyone freezes in one place: both those who are on the ground and those who on high.

Anyone who gets caught becomes the new "wet chicken."

Autumn games outside

The cold season is not a reason to stay at home. There are so many interesting things on the street! What to do outside in the fall? Dress warmly in raincoats and waterproof jackets, put on rubber boots and go out:

  • launch boats and build rafts for toys so that they can be sent on an unforgettable voyage;
  • draw with rain. To do this at home, apply a lot of different gouache or watercolor blots on a piece of Whatman paper or a drawing sheet and take them out into a light drizzle. He “completes” the picture by blurring the paint all over the sheet;
  • organize competitions in throwing cones and chestnuts. For example, who will throw further, or who will hit the ring (target) hanging on a tree;
  • weave a wreath of autumn leaves;
  • “revive” everything you come across during your walk. Prepare “running” eyes and crayons or felt-tip pens for this in advance. Attach the eyes to a stone, stump, leaf and finish drawing a face. Take a photo. And then print it out and create a whole album with a collection of such photos.

Play and creativity are exactly what a child needs to do outside at any time of the year and will help him develop actively and diversified.

Drawing on the asphalt

Drawing with crayons is interesting for all children - both toddlers and schoolchildren. There are many options to diversify this activity.

For example:

  • organize a yard (or inter-yard) drawing competition on a given topic. Buy all sorts of small things or sweets as prizes, post an announcement in advance at all entrances indicating the place and time of the event. Invite everyone - both adults and children. After all, you can arrange family competitions;
  • just go out into the yard when there are a lot of children there and start drawing with your little one. After a short time you will see that other children have gathered around;
  • in sunny weather, find a shadow on the asphalt or create one yourself, and then outline its outline with chalk. Then start drawing the details, and you will get a beautiful drawing of a person or a dog, or a tree;
  • draw a safari. Let different animals disperse from the very entrance and in different directions from the house - giraffes, lions, elephants, hippos.

Even just drawing a house with a grandmother and a cat next to it will be very interesting for the baby, because everyone who passes by will see his drawing. Agree, such art always brings a smile to passersby.
