We compose mathematical fairy tales for a mathematics project for grade 3

Hello, dear friends! Today is the most fabulous day on the Shkolala blog.

Today we will compose mathematical fairy tales.

Below you will find a turnip, Ivan the Fool, numbers, Baba Yaga, geometric figures and mathematical signs. We hope that your trip to the country of Mathematics will be interesting and educational for you and your little schoolchildren, and at the same time will help you create your own unique project for 3rd grade.

We begin.

And first we present to you the fairy tale “Turnip”. Only it’s not just “Turnip”, but a mathematical turnip.

How Ivanushka the Fool went for happiness

In a certain kingdom, in a certain state, there lived Ivanushka the Fool. And he decided to go for happiness.

His path lay through a dark forest. Ivanushka is walking through the forest and sees some kind of cross lying on the path.

“What else is this?” thinks the good fellow. “Let me throw this cross into the swamp.”

He took the cross in his hand and suddenly heard a thin voice: “Don’t throw me into the swamp, Ivanushka! I'm afraid of frogs. And in general I’m not a cross, but a plus. Better take me with you, I’ll still be useful to you.”

Ivanushka the Fool was surprised, but just in case he put the plus in his pocket.

Ivan walks further and suddenly trips over a straight stick.

“Oh, you little stick of wood! - Ivan got angry. - Almost ruined my bast shoes! Now I’ll break you in half!”

Fool Ivanushka took the wand in his hands and suddenly heard a thin voice: “Don’t break me, Ivanushka! It’s your own fault for not looking at your feet! And in general, I’m not just a stick, I’m a minus. Take me with you, maybe I’ll be useful to you.”

Ivan the Fool was surprised, but he put the minus in his pocket and continued on his way.

He walks under the giant fir trees and suddenly there is a SLAM on his forehead.

"Oh! - Ivan the Fool was scared. - What fell on me from the tree? Is it a bump or something?

“You’re a big shot yourself!” said a thin voice from the grass. “I’m not a bump, but a multiplying sign!”

“What were you doing at the Christmas tree?” asked Ivanushka.

"What? What? I multiplied the cones! Instead of asking stupid questions, take me with you, I’ll be useful to you,” said the multiplication sign.

Ivanushka put the multiplication sign in his pocket and walked on.

And by that time it was dark in the forest.

Ivan the Fool walks and sees two small green eyes looking at him from behind a bush.

“Hey, who's there? - Ivanushka shouted. “Come out, monster monster, we’ll fight!”

“Why are you calling me names? - a thin voice squeaked offendedly. “I’m not a monster or a monster, but a sign of division.” Take me with you, I’ll be useful to you.”

Ivanushka the Fool took the division with him and moved on.

Ivanushka walked briefly through the dense forest for a long time, and suddenly he saw grandfather Lesovik sitting on a stump. The good fellow decided to ask him the way to happiness. He approached Lesovik, bowed low and said: “Tell me, grandfather Lesovik, do you know where I can look for happiness?”

“Of course I know,” answered Lesovik, “feed me, I’ll show you the way.”

“What will I feed you? I only have one cabbage pie with me. Do you want me to break off half?” Ivan suggested.

“Half? Well then, I’ll tell you about halfway,” Lesovik said offendedly, “I want a whole pie, I really adore them.”

“How can I give you a whole pie? After all, then I myself will remain hungry,” said Ivanushka.

“You don’t want it, as you want,” said grandfather Lesovik and turned away.

Ivanushka the Fool became sad and almost burst into tears. And then suddenly a plus sign jumped out of his pocket, spun around the pie, twirled, hit the ground and added another one of the same kind to one pie. And Ivanushka ended up with two pies with cabbage!

He gave one to Grandfather Lesovik, and ate the other himself. The woodsman ate, became better and said: “Your happiness is hidden across the wide river, on a hillock in a chest.” Ivan the Fool thanked grandfather Lesovik and went on his way.

He walks and walks and suddenly sees the sky getting darker and darker, one black cloud has arrived, and then another one, and then three more and four more. Nine black clouds covered the entire sky, white light is not visible, it is not clear where to go.

Suddenly a minus jumped out of my pocket. He spun, turned, shouted: “Banzai!” - and took off like an arrow into the sky. He rushed and rushed between the clouds, took and subtracted eight from nine clouds. And there was only one black cloud left in the sky and everything around immediately became lighter.

“Wow,” said Ivan the Fool in surprise, “these are tricks!”

“This is not a trick! This is subtraction!” - shouted the minus and melted in the air.

Ivan went further. Suddenly he sees a wide river stretched out in front of him, impossible to swim across, impossible to jump over. And there are no boats to be seen nearby.

The good fellow was sad, there was no one to ask for help, not a soul around. Only two butterflies are flying, collecting nectar from flowers.

Suddenly a multiplication sign jumped out of his pocket and said: “Don’t be sad, Ivanushka, I’ll help you.”

“How can you help me? You’re just a small dot,” Ivan said upset.

The multiplication sign suddenly jumped up, did a somersault in the air, and began to spin around the flowers along with the butterflies. He shouted: “Multiplication rules!” - and multiplied two butterflies by a whole thousand.

Ivan Tsarevich looks and doesn’t believe his eyes. There were not two butterflies, but two thousand. The butterflies flew up to Ivanushka, grabbed him with their paws, lifted him into the air, waved their wings together and carried him across the river.

Happiness is just around the corner. You can already see the little hill on which the chest of happiness stands. And a winding path leads to the chest.

Ivanushka the Fool runs along the path, runs in a hurry, and suddenly sees 11 robbers sitting on the path, and in front of them are 165 gold coins. The robbers are angry, they argue and fight with each other.

“Hey, robbers, let me through!” - Ivanushka shouted to them.

“Come back later,” said the robbers, “we are busy, dividing the gold. But we can’t divide it equally.”

Suddenly a division sign jumped out of Ivanushka’s pocket. It flew into one robber's ear, flew out of another's nose, counted the coins and quickly divided them among all the robbers.

It turned out that each robber got 15 coins. The robbers were delighted, took their coins and made way for Ivan the Fool.

Ivan finally got to the treasured chest, opened it and saw... a mathematics textbook)))

Ivanushka began to study mathematics and since then no one has called him a fool anymore.

That's the end of the fairy tale.

Magically? Still would!

And now a mathematical fairy tale about Baba Yaga and the cunning Square.

Math tales for preschoolers

Mathematical tales

Mathematics is an exact but complex science that is present in surrounding phenomena and accompanies us throughout our lives.
A mathematical fairy tale is a special technique in pedagogy that helps a child understand the basics of mathematics and more easily assimilate information in the future. Experts say that in the form of a fairy tale, it is most useful for a child to comprehend the laws of the world order, get acquainted with norms of behavior, and even study mathematical fundamentals. Why a fairy tale? A fairy tale is a unique tool for teaching a child. This is a metaphor, after understanding which the child will be able to apply the general rule in different situations. A fairy tale with mathematical content is an adventure whose heroes are numbers, arithmetic signs, geometric figures, or characters familiar to children from folk tales. The plot contains concepts about time, quantity, quantities, shapes and is complicated by mathematical tests and problems. A mathematical fairy tale plays an important role in learning, for example: - contributes to the formation of one’s own mathematical and logical thinking; - performs a cognitive function; — teaches how to perform simple arithmetic operations; — introduces numbers, mathematical concepts, terms; — explains the relationship between objects and phenomena of the surrounding world. The basics of science in fairy tales are explained unobtrusively, easily and accessible to the child, which is why teachers successfully use fairy tales both in preparing preschoolers and in the mathematics curriculum for primary school. Instilling in a child perseverance and a love of numbers is not always easy, but fairy tales about numbers allow you to do this in a playful way. It is better to choose a fairy tale with a picture - this will make it easier for your child to imagine unusual characters. Try drawing simple illustrations yourself or involve your child in the process. Zero and One In one city there lived numbers from 0 to 9. They always argued and boasted to each other about who was bigger or older. The numbers even invented the signs “>” and “<” for themselves, so it was easier for them to show off. Some numbers were very sad, especially Nolik and One, because they were the smallest, and they were constantly teased: “Kids!” One day Zero and One sat and cried out of resentment that they could not do anything against the senior digits. Then they held hands so that it would not be so offensive. Zero and One walked down the street, and the other numbers looked at them strangely - as if from below. The friends reached the store window and saw in the reflection that they had become bigger than ever! Even more than the number 9! This is how the number 10 turned out. Other numbers looked at 10 and realized that if we unite and act together, we can become stronger and bigger. The Tale of the Lazy Zero The Tale of the Lazy Zero Numbers lived in the small country of Tsifria. Everyone was a hard worker, only Zero was pot-bellied and lazy. Somehow my comrades learned that numbers were needed in the neighboring country of Arithmetic in order to create equations and problems for students. The figures were glad that they could now work for the benefit of children and set off on their way. But the road was not easy. The path lay under the scorching sun, and ahead there were 4 rivers that needed to be crossed, and at the same time practice arithmetic. They reached the first river called Slozhenie. The numbers ran up to the river to drink, and she said: “I will give you water, but first you will stand in pairs and form a new number.” All the numbers quickly stood up in pairs, completed the task, but one number got lazy and got Zero. No matter how the number was added to the zero, the amount did not change, so I had to leave without drinking water. The numbers went on, the sun was already at its zenith, I wanted water. We reached the second river - Subtraction. Again everyone rushed to the water, and a woman’s voice said to them: “I’ll give you a drink, but first stand in pairs and subtract the smaller from the larger to get a new number.” Everyone quickly divided into pairs and did what they asked, but this time the other number hesitated and got Zero. She subtracted zero, but the number did not change. The number was left without water, and Zero didn’t worry at all - he was lazy. The numbers went further and reached the Multiplication River. Again the river asked to complete the task - to stand in pairs and multiply on each other. Everyone quickly complied with the request, but again one number was unlucky, it was multiplied by zero and also became zero. Digit even burst into tears, she was so offended that everyone was suffering because of zero. Finally, the company reached the last river - Division. The sun was no longer hot, but the task still had to be completed - rules are rules. The numbers had to be divided by each other so that the result was a number greater than one. Here the numbers had to think about who should divide into whom. In addition, everyone quarreled - no one wanted to divide by zero. The numbers reached the country of Arithmetic, arrived for duty, but complained to the ruler about the sloth, because of whom everyone was suffering. The ruler reassured them and said that all numbers have a job, even Zero will be useful in equations or examples. And so that others would not be angry with him, she endowed Zero with a special ability: if he stands to the right of any number, he increases it 10 times. So Zero stopped being lazy and felt needed, and his comrades were no longer offended by him. But still no one wants to share with him, so as not to become arrogant and remember how he let his friends down with his laziness.

Fairy tale “What Number Two Dreams About” One day Number Two met a swan and told him: “I’m like you, and I dream of learning to fly.” “I don’t want to fly anymore,” the swan answered sadly. “My swan fell into a hunter’s snare, and I’m sad without her. “I’ll help you free the swan,” promised Deuce. Soon two beautiful swans bowed to the number Two and said: “Thank you for your help, you look like us and are as kind as us.” “But I can’t fly like you,” Deuce sighed. “Take these two white feathers from us as a souvenir, they will fulfill your most cherished wish,” the swan suggested. The next day, Number Two proudly soared in the air on two large wings. “The swans gave me two feathers, but when they flew away, the feathers turned into wings,” Two excitedly told the numbers. “Whoever dreams of flying will definitely fly,” the numbers decided.

Mathematical fairy tale “When does this happen?” We once argued about the four times of day: morning, afternoon, evening and night. “I am the most beautiful time of the day,” said the young morning. – I wake up the sun, and it colors me with lilac-crimson light. Everything is gradually coming to life, gaining strength. Drops of dew glisten on the grass. “No,” the businesslike day objected to him, “this is the most beautiful time of the day.” The sun is already at its peak. It gives energy. Everyone is cheerful and joyful, busy with their work. And the sky is so blue! “In the evening the sky is the most beautiful – burgundy and blue,” the evening suddenly declares. – The sun is gradually setting. Everyone finishes their business. The wind calms down, the birds fall silent. Pleasant fatigue affects everyone, and the time comes for rest. Dusk falls on the earth. Here the hoarse voice of the wise night is heard: “The most wonderful sky is at night.” How many stars can be seen on it and how many interesting and instructive things there are! Here is the Big Dipper, and here is the North Star. The silence is soothing to the ear. Only a cricket somewhere sings a lullaby for those who have been running and jumping all day and are now seeing sweet dreams. Dreams are such a mystery! They fascinate and take you to their distant country. So they sat, drank tea and boasted to each other about the time of day. But suddenly the doorbell rang and the boy Sasha’s mother came in. The times of day recognized her immediately. They accompanied her and her son all the time. The woman was always cheerful and cheerful. But now her face was sad. And tears sparkled in her eyes. Sasha’s mother said that something bad had happened to the boy. An evil wizard bewitched her son, and now he does everything the other way around: he sleeps during the day, in the morning, when everyone gets up, he gets ready for bed, in the evening, when everyone finishes working, he is just getting up, and at night, when everyone is sleeping, he plays with his toys. Mom tried everything she could to disenchant her son. But nothing helps. One kind old lady advised her to turn to the times of day. So she did. We thought and thought about the time of day and decided to contact you guys. To remove the spell, you need to answer questions. Let's help Sasha. The sun rises, everything comes to life, the birds chirp joyfully, the flowers open their heads towards the sun's rays. What is this time of day called? The sun is at its zenith, it’s hot, the sky is blue. Animals and birds hide in the shade of trees. When does this happen? The sun is approaching sunset, the sky gradually turns into bluish-red shades, everything becomes silent, only the rustling of the trees can be heard when the breeze flies by and cicadas and crickets sing in the grass. When does this happen? The sky gradually becomes dark purple, almost black, the sun is no longer there, the moon appears in the sky, it becomes fresh and cool. When does this happen? You answered the questions about parts of the day correctly, but now the questions are more difficult. How is the change in the parts of the day related to the position of the sun in the sky? Why does almost everyone fall asleep at night? Is the sequence of occurrence of different parts of the day random or is it interconnected? Is the life and activity of people connected with the onset of various parts of the day and natural phenomena, and how? What time of day do you guys like best? Why?
