Competition “My Pedagogical Initiative” – Stage 2
Our kindergarten is a compensatory institution. The main area of work is the correction of speech disorders in preschool children.

For the purpose of speech therapy in working with children with speech disorders, I use elements of non-traditional forms of isotherapy, sand therapy, and fairy tale therapy in my classes.

Before the lesson I was given the following:

Correctional educational goals:

  • consolidate ideas about domestic animals;
  • clarify, expand and activate the vocabulary on the topic “Pets”;
  • improve the grammatical structure of speech (the use of nouns with suffixes (-onok-, -enok-), simple prepositions);
  • improve the ability to retell the fairy tale “Mitten” with the help of a teacher.

Corrective and developmental goals:

  • develop dialogical speech;
  • develop auditory attention, thinking, creative imagination;
  • develop gross and fine motor skills, coordination of speech with movement, tactile sensations.

Correctional and educational goals:

  • develop an interest in living nature;
  • cultivate goodwill, initiative, and cooperation skills.

Equipment: Subject pictures depicting domestic animals and their cubs, animals’ favorite food, flannelgraph, animal figurines, sandbox, white album sheets according to the number of children, wax crayons, tabletop theater “Rukavichka” with fairy tale characters.

The inclusion of elements of isotherapy, fairy tale therapy and sand therapy in a speech therapy session is a fascinating and accessible form of working with children, an optimal opportunity for behavior correction, harmonization of the personality of children with problems through the development of the abilities of self-expression and self-knowledge, which is so necessary for correct, clean, grammatically formed, expressive speech, as well as for the development and normalization of fine and articulatory motor skills.

Progress of the lesson

Speech therapist. Hello guys. Today a fairy tale came to visit us and we will tell it, show it and even draw it.

Once a man dropped his mitten in the forest. (The speech therapist places a decoration with a picture of a mitten on the table.) A small mouse runs past. She saw the mitten, stopped and asked:

- Who lives in a mitten, who lives in a fur one?

Nobody responds. Then the mouse climbed into its mitten and saw a magic bag on the table. (The speech therapist puts a picture of a mouse in the window). Let's see what's in it?

Children: Let's go.
