Using ICT for the development of cognitive processes in preschool children
- April 10, 2013
Competition "Master of Multimedia Technologies - 2013"
Nomination "Multimedia technologies in the pedagogical process in preschool educational institutions"
Today, the teaching staff is faced with the enormous importance and scope of the task of creating an information culture for teachers, parents and children, for which it is necessary to introduce information and communication technologies into the educational process of preschool educational institutions. Having independently mastered working on a computer, I also apply my skills in working with preschoolers.
But I, like many teachers, face a question. To use or not to use ICT in kindergarten? First of all, it is necessary to clearly understand what ICT is and for what specific work in a preschool educational institution they are needed.
To implement this, trained teaching staff are needed who are able to combine traditional teaching methods and modern information technologies.
A teacher must not only be able to use a computer and modern multimedia equipment, but also create his own educational resources and widely use them in his teaching activities.
It is important to note that information and computer technologies can be used both in the educational work of the teacher and in the methodological work of preschool educational institutions. In the methodological work of our preschool institution, they (for example, multimedia presentations) are used at pedagogical councils, seminars, and the presentation of work experience as teachers.
Target:
- introduce colleagues to the methods and techniques of using information and communication technologies to form the cognitive processes of preschool children;
- to form the desire of colleagues to evaluate the level of integration of their teaching activities into the information educational environment, to analyze the capabilities of IOS;
- select and use ICT tools and electronic educational resources in accordance with the objectives of their professional teaching activities.
Tasks:
- introduce the basic ICT standards to implement the integration and implementation of information technologies in the processes of education and training;
- to form personality-oriented forms of interaction between subjects, which determine an increase in the level of professional competence of specialists and mastery of integrated ways of developing a child’s personality.
- generalization of knowledge of FGT requirements regulating professional teaching activities in ICT conditions;
- provide information about the relevant sanitary rules and regulations (SanPiN),
- talk about the main modern IOS management tools.
Significance:
- The material will be useful for teaching staff to enhance the use of information and communication technologies in working with children.
Expected results:
- increasing the level of professional skills of preschool teachers.
- implementation of personal and professional growth of teachers.
- actively use information technologies in the educational process;
An important role in raising the theoretical level of teachers and improving their information competence is played by thematic seminars on informatization issues that are assigned to teachers. They are organized with the aim of more in-depth immersion in the topic, improving skills and abilities: “Creating multimedia presentations (Power Point)”, “Internet”, “Preparing visual and didactic materials using Microsoft Office”, etc. With the materials of one of these seminars I I want to introduce you.

ICT in kindergarten
Information and communication technologies in preschool education (ICT) are a complex of educational and methodological materials, programs, technical and instrumental means of computer technology in the educational process, forms and methods of their use to improve the activities of specialists in educational institutions (administration, educators, specialists), and also for the education (development, diagnosis, correction) of children.
The introduction of ICT in kindergarten increases the requirements for the level of professionalism of the teacher, because information culture is part of the general pedagogical culture.
The ICT section of the preschool kindergarten website for different groups contains many interesting publications for educators on various topics:
- ICT in preschool educational institutions
- Summary of GCD with ICT in kindergarten

- Integrated lesson using ICT in the middle group
- Possibilities of using ICT in the educational process and in working with teaching staff
- Summary of a lesson using ICT in the preparatory group
- GCD for FEMP using ICT based on a fairy tale
- The use of information and communication technologies in the educational process
- Information technologies for working with children 4-6 years old in teaching drawing and music
- Application of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the educational process of preschool educational institutions

In kindergarten, ICT can be successfully used in the educational process. ICT in a preschool educational institution can be classified: ICT, with the help of which pedagogical problems are solved (electronic textbooks, electronic systems for teaching and monitoring knowledge). Electronic systems for the practical application of knowledge (virtual designer, programs for modeling, simulator).
It is impossible to imagine a modern kindergarten without information and communication technologies. The opportunities provided by network electronic resources make it possible to solve a number of problems that are relevant for specialists working in the preschool education system.
ICT is most widely used in kindergarten when working with older preschoolers and younger ones. These are usually interactive training programs and multimedia presentations. Multimedia presentations make it possible to present educational and developmental material as a system of vivid supporting images filled with comprehensive structured information in an algorithmic order.
Information and communication technologies in the practice of preschool education have a very positive effect on the education of children in general; IT technologies help children in mastering various materials.
