With its help, a performance was performed demonstrating the life cycle contained in a seven-day period, starting from birth and ending with death, funeral and mourning of the deceased. Fist fights and burning of effigy are among the most spectacular rituals of this period. Showy fights have their roots in sacrificial rituals, when the gods were appeased with shed blood, and the killing of a monster at the stake is a kind of fake equivalent of an ancient cruel tradition.
