DIY foam ship for children
Do not rush to throw away foam plastic after purchasing household appliances, especially if you have children. It can be useful for making a quick boat.
Materials:
- Styrofoam pieces
- Toothpicks
- Knife
- A thread
- Film for decoration
- Colored paper
Using a knife, cut out the shape of a boat - two rectangles of different sizes. A large rectangle needs to have a sharp nose.
Using glue or a toothpick, connect both parts
All that remains is to decorate the boat. In this matter, you can give your child room for creativity.
Cut out flags from paper and glue the flag onto the mast.
You can add a second toothpick to the ship and tie them together with rope or thread. We'll insert another toothpick at the back of the deck. The places where the thread is attached can be lubricated with glue.
The outermost toothpicks need to be shortened.
We will hang small flags folded in half on the thread.
Another option for a ship's mast made of foam.
Let's make a cross from two toothpicks and wrap it with thread. Let's break off the ends.
The sail can be made from a tree leaf or fabric.
More complex foam ship designs will require more time.
Classic model
How to make an origami boat and what is needed for it? It will be possible to realize your childhood dream thanks to an A4 piece of paper. If you don’t have it at hand, resort to using a notebook by tearing out a sheet from it. This will not affect the operation, since the dimensions are identical. Are you configured to operate the vessel in water and other spaces?
It is better to use office-type paper. In this case, the decor is made from craft material. Creative stores stock inventory such as Kami. It will also not be superfluous for the boat.
There are a huge number of origami boat diagrams presented in information sources. Their abundance will allow you to create with due interest.
Progress
- The sheet must be placed vertically on the table. Let the wrong side face up;
- The bottom should be pulled towards the top;
- Place the left edge of the paper towards the opposite one. It is required to make a mark on the material;
- The prepared part should open with your hands;
- Find the fold that was made earlier. The right and, accordingly, the left corner are raised upward. Make sure that they touch each other by 1/2 sheets;
- Origami paper boats cannot exist without high-quality ironing of the bends. Process the location data;
- It is required to rotate the element first by 90 degrees, then by the same amount;
- The edge located below is wrapped depending on the base of the resulting triangle;
- The future ship needs to be turned over;
- Act number eight is played again;
- The fold that has formed must be straightened. The right corner should be bent;
- A similar movement is performed on the left side;
- The bottom must be brought to the initial position;
- Open the ship;
- The next step is to flatten the part. Notice the corner on the left.
- Make sure it ends up inside the resulting space on the right. Fold the other side in the same way;
- The layer closest to it needs to be bent in the upward direction;
- The step is repeated;
- Position the boat so that it faces sideways towards you. Now do an element expansion;
- Flatten the vessel slightly;
- The valves created earlier need to be pulled in other directions;
- As soon as the silhouettes of the boat become visible. Iron all folds. Do this carefully and take your time;
- The sail is made by bending the parts located in the center of the figure. The triangle symbolizing the identifying part of the ship must be exposed;
- The previous steps will allow the structure to sit securely in the space. Perform the test by placing the vessel on the table.
When all the steps are completed, look at the work from the other side. You have come up with a simple origami boat that will perform well in operation and make you happy.
Be inspired by photos of origami boats and correct the shortcomings. There are no mistakes at the beginning of creative activity.
The figurines will be relevant at themed parties where marine paraphernalia is installed.
Boat with sail for children
The scheme differs significantly from the classic version, but there is nothing complicated about it.
Detailed instructions:
- A square sheet of paper is suitable for origami.
- It needs to be folded diagonally. Be sure to bend all 4 corners to form a cross on the sheet.
- All 4 corners meet at the central point.
- The structure needs to be expanded.
- Next, the square with folds is turned over to the other side and folded in half.
- Each half that appeared during the instructions is folded again.
- Next, the sheet is unfolded again with the front side.
- Folds in half again.
- Diagonal guides should appear along which you need to fold the sides.
- Once the workpiece is ready, you need to fold the figure in half.
- The free angle is unbent, creating a full-fledged sail.
It is unlikely that this design will withstand water, but it can become a wonderful part of the decor. Additionally, you can color the composition using gouache.
The main thing is not to place the product on a radiator or near a heat source, as after drying it will lose its appearance.
Launching
Initially, work on the ship involves using it in water. What is a ship without the ability to swim?
- Water, to the great regret of craftsmen, greatly destroys paper. Ships become unsuitable for games.
- The possibility of such a problem can be minimized with additional protection.
- Create a water-repellent layer. Thus, an ordinary small boat can make stylish jewelry as a gift for relatives;
Origami constructor made of cardboard
This method is suitable for those who are just developing hand motor skills. The constructor is created on the basis of a diagram that you can come up with yourself and draw in paint or on paper. How to collect:
- There are several types that use glue and special compartments to accommodate “fasteners”.
- In both cases, each piece is cut out with scissors.
There are no rules in this master class; you can give free rein to your imagination. If a child will do the work, you need to ensure comfort and safety (plastic scissors and a ruler are chosen).
How to play tangram
Each piece of the game must be made up of seven tangram parts, and they must not overlap.
The easiest option for preschool children 4-5 years old is to assemble figures according to the diagrams (answers) laid out into elements, like a mosaic. A little practice, and the child will learn to make figures according to the pattern-contour and even come up with his own figures according to the same principle.
Level one - download and print the colored tangram, this will make it easier to navigate the diagram.
